Sanmar secures Italian tug order

Sanmar Shipyards has been contracted to build a new RINA classed, FiFi1 notation, 75-tonne bollard pull ASD tug for Italian operator Rimorchiatori Napoletani.

The Robert Allan Ltd-designed tug will have an LOA of 24.4 metres and a width of 11.25 metres.

Twin Caterpillar 2,350kW main engines will turn Rolls-Royce type US 255 fixed-pitch Z-drives with a built-in slipping clutch.
