VESSEL REVIEW | Sea Raider X – Sleek 67-metre yacht combines high speed with multiple outdoor spaces

Published on

Italian builder ISA Yachts delivered the 67-metre (220-foot) motor yacht Sea Raider X in July 2026, two months after her launch at the company's Ancona facility.

The Cayman Islands-registered vessel is the new flagship of the ISA fleet and the largest yacht the shipyard has built.

The yacht is the latest addition to an existing ISA series and will make her public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2026.

Sea Raider X features a displacement monohull with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Her layout comprises four decks as well as a bilge deck. She has a gross tonnage of 1,149, a beam of 10.5 metres (34.4 feet), and a draught of 3.3 metres (11 feet).

Capable of both fast transits and long-range cruising

Vallicelli Design created the exterior styling, while the interiors are by Team for Design – Enrico Gobbi. The shipyard handled the naval architecture in-house.

Flowing deck lines characteristic of the series combine with angular, diamond-shaped forms on the transom and sun deck superstructure. A "frame" element extending from the wheelhouse roof to the aft bulwark of the main deck defines the side profile and links the design to earlier vessels in the series.

Propulsion is provided by two MTU 16V4000M65L 3,046hp (2,270kW) diesel engines driving two fixed-pitch propellers. The vessel can achieve a top speed of 18.5 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots, whereas sailing at 12 knots will yield a range of 5,500 nautical miles.

The listed cruising and top speeds are roughly two knots above the average for motor yachts in the 60- to 70-metre (200- to 230-foot) category, a margin consistent with the sporting positioning the series has carried since its introduction.

Configured to maximise open-air space

The yacht has seven cabins and can accommodate up to 14 guests. Positioned forward on the main deck is a full-beam owner's suite, with six guest suites located below decks.

The 13 crewmembers and the captain are accommodated in eight cabins, with the captain's cabin adjoining the wheelhouse.

The most substantial engineering work is concentrated in the aft sections of the main and lower decks. A 6.5-metre (21-foot) panoramic swimming pool anchors the aft main deck, with a lounge area surrounding it. Two fold-down side terraces extend the usable deck area when deployed, and integrated staircases lead directly from the pool lounge down to the aft platform and beach club.

The primary tender, which measures more than 7.5 metres (25 feet), is kept in an aft garage on the lower deck and launched via a hatch opening on the side rather than from the exposed stern. The garage opens into the beach club, which is fitted with a hammam, bar and gym area.

Once the tender is launched, the entire covered aft area transforms into a full-beam space, doubling the beach club's surface area. ISA said the arrangement gives the operator a sheltered, full-beam entertainment area at anchor while retaining tender capacity, as the expanded space is available only when the tender is off the vessel.

The conversion between the garage and lounge, combined with the fold-down terraces one deck above, gives the aft third of the yacht two distinct configurations: a compact seagoing arrangement with the tender stowed and terraces closed, and an expanded at-anchor arrangement with substantially more walkable area at both main-deck and waterline levels.

This kind of convertible volume has become a common design objective in the 60-metre-plus segment, where beam is constrained but owners expect beach club areas that are comparable to those on larger vessels.

ISA Yachts said Sea Raider X, "combines dynamic styling, advanced engineering and refined craftsmanship in a project designed for owners seeking both performance and uncompromising comfort."
