Dutch shipyard Oceanco has launched the 111-metre custom superyacht Y726. At 4,550 GT, the vessel is one of the largest yachts by volume to be constructed at the yard.
Commissioned in 2022 by a returning client, the yacht is the result of a collaboration between several design and engineering firms. The project is now set to begin sea trials ahead of a scheduled delivery later this year.
The exterior design was created by Espen Øino International, with the interior by Mark Berryman Design. The naval architecture was developed by Lateral Naval Architects in partnership with Oceanco’s in-house team. The project was overseen by the owner's representatives, Dan Jackson and Wright Maritime Group.
AJ Anderson, CEO of Wright Maritime Group, noted that the project is now entering its final stages. Meanwhile, Lateral's programme director Lee Archer described the vessel as the result of, "bold design ambition and robust engineering".
