Italian builder CRN recently unveiled a new superyacht fitted with a hybrid propulsion system.
The fully bespoke Amor à Vida was designed by CRN, Italian design firm Nuvolari Lenard, and the Ferretti Group's superyacht division. Moran Yacht and Ship represented the owner throughout the entire design and construction process.
Spanning six decks, with a length overall of 67.55 metres, a beam of 11.5 metres and a gross tonnage of 1,447, the superyacht can accommodate up to 12 guests in five exclusive VIP cabins, plus a deck dedicated entirely to the owner on the upper deck, where the owner apartment in the bow has a 180-degree panoramic view across the water. The entire multi-purpose bow area is reserved for the owner’s exclusive use.
CRN said the yacht has a hybrid propulsion system, which increases the fuel consumption efficiency of both the main engines and the generators and translates into smooth, silent cruising, while the heat recovery system significantly reduces energy consumption and operating costs, particularly when the yacht is anchored offshore.
The yacht can reach a maximum speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.
