Dutch shipbuilder Feadship recently delivered a new 90-metre custom yacht to Poole in the UK.
Feadship said Milky Way was built for an undisclosed client, who had requested a "highly flexible, multi-use onboard environment that supports active living and relaxation."
Design work on the yacht was undertaken by De Voogt Naval Architects with technical support provided by Occam Marine. RWD meanwhile worked on her interiors.
The newbuild has a full-displacement steel hull, an aluminium superstructure, a length of 89.6 metres, a beam of 13.6 metres, a loaded draught of 3.7 metres, and a gross tonnage of 2,623. The propulsion arrangement consists of two MTU 12V4000M65L 1,703kW engines driving propellers.
The yacht's prominent features include a vertical bow, extensive glazing, and a swimming pool that measures 16.7 by three metres. Teak was used for the vessel's decks.
The onboard facilities include a spa and a beauty salon. All spaces benefit from air conditioning and wifi connectivity.
Milky Way is classed by Lloyd's Register. The yacht has been valued at around US$300 million.
