China-based shipbuilder Zhoushan Wuzhou has struck a deal for the building of six container ships for local client Shanghai Zhongguo Xinliang Shipping.
Signed in mid-September, the 179.9-metre x 32.2-metre x 9.5-metre vessels will weigh up to 40,000 tonnes each and feature on-board energy saving technology.
The vessels will also adhere to new environmental regulations for operations along China's coastal areas.
