Venice Shipping and Logisitcs (VSL) has announced the delivery of two new eco-designed newbuildings, the 'High Sun' product tanker in Vietnam and the 'Giulia I' bulk carrier in China.

The medium-range product tanker 'High Sun' was constructed at the Hyundai-Vinashin shipyard in partnership with d'Amico International Shipping. She measures 183 metres in length overall, with a beam of 32 metres and a deadweight tonnage of 50,000DWT.

The 'Giulia I', meanwhile, was built at Yangfan in China, with a length of 180 metres, a beam of 30 metres and a tonnage of 39,000DWT.

According to VSL, the two vessels' eco-designs will ensure significant fuel savings and emissions reductions, allowing for travel within emission controlled areas (ECAs).
