A COSCO container ship passing through the Suez Canal has been attacked with rocket-powered grenades, reports Reuters.
An unverified video of two individuals firing rocket-powered grenades at a COSCO-branded vessel was subsequently uploaded to YouTube.
Believed to be an attempt to disrupt shipping services on the canal, the ship sustained minimal damage and traffic and rates were unaffected.
It is suggested the attack could be connected to recent political conflict in Egypt, though it is believed the individuals in the video are not directly related to any terrorist organisation.
