From Baird Maritime
Having spent a few weeks cruising recently with a just retired harbour master your reviewer has gained a new appreciation of their work.
Now, having read this excellent little textbook from the reliably high quality Nautical Institute, I have an even better idea of what the job requires and how it should be carried out.
In the now semi-standard Nautical Institute format, this book comprises sixteen chapters each written by an acknowledged international expert on the subject described.
It is a very useful and effective approach to a complex subject such as this. Obviously, it should be read by existing and future harbour masters but it would also be a very useful reference for all ship and tug masters at least.
