Swedish-Canadian joint venture FureBear welcomes new product tanker to fleet
FureBear, a joint venture formed by Canadian dry bulk shipping company Algoma Central Corporation and Swedish tanker operator Furetank Rederi, has taken delivery of a new product tanker built by China Merchants Jinling Shipyard.
Designed by Sweden’s FKAB Marine Design in compliance with Bureau Veritas class rules, the 18,000DWT Fure Valö belongs to a series of ten ships. The first two vessels, Fure Vesborg and Fure Viken, were delivered earlier this year.
China's Seacon Shipping welcomes new chemical tanker to fleet
China's Seacon Shipping Group Holdings formally took delivery of a new oil/chemical tanker in a ceremony on Monday, June 23.
Golden Banyan was built by Fujian Southeast Shipbuilding in compliance with China Classification Society requirements including those for ice class 1C.
Northern Lights christens second LCO2 carrier in series
Northern Lights, a joint venture company formed by Equinor, Shell and TotalEnergies, has formally named its newest liquefied CO2 (LCO2) carrier.
Like earlier sister Northern Pioneer, Northern Pathfinder was built by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company of China. The newbuild has a length of 130 metres, a beam of 21 metres, a design draught of eight metres, and a total cargo capacity of 7,500 cubic metres.
Tsakos Energy Navigation takes delivery and names new Suezmax tankers
Greek tanker operator Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) has taken delivery of a new Suezmax tanker, Dr Irene Tsakos, from HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea.
The company also announced the naming of the vessel's sister ship, Silia T, which is scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2025.
China's Pioneer Tanker christens dual-fuel newbuilds
Chinese shipping company Pioneer Tanker formally named its two newest dual-fuel chemical tankers in a ceremony on Thursday, June 19.
Ardbeg and Dictador were built by Fujian Shipbuilding subsidiary Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding in compliance with ice class 1C requirements. Each newbuild has an LOA of 149.8 metres, a beam of 22.8 metres, a draught of 12.7 metres, and a deadweight of 18,500.
