Scorpio Tankers has secured three-year time charter-out contracts for three product tankers and updated its operational performance for the third quarter of 2026.
The Monaco-based tanker owner disclosed that the fixtures cover two LR2 vessels and one MR tanker at fixed daily earnings.
Under the agreements, the LR2 tankers STI Gladiator and STI Jermyn were fixed at daily rates of $40,188 and $42,500, respectively, with both charters expected by the company to commence in September.
A third vessel, the MR tanker STI Pontiac, was chartered at $23,900 per day for three years, with operations projected by the company to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
In the spot and pool markets, daily time charter equivalent revenues for the third quarter reached $64,900 across 85 per cent of revenue days for LR2 vessels.
Meanwhile, MR tankers achieved an average of $30,000 per day across 79 per cent of contracted days, while Handymax units generated $25,500 per day across 70 per cent of available days.
For the three months ending September 30, Scorpio Tankers estimated its fully diluted weighted average share count to stand between 54.5 million and 55.5 million shares. This preliminary calculation accounts for potential dilution stemming from restricted shares and convertible senior notes issued earlier in 2026.
The company currently owns a fleet of 75 product tankers, comprising 25 LR2, 36 MR, and 14 Handymax vessels with an average age of 10.2 years. Its forward orderbook also includes agreements or letters of intent for two VLCC, five MR, and six LR2 newbuildings with deliveries scheduled between 2027 and 2030.
