Singapore LNG Corporation (SLNG) said on Friday it has started construction of a third jetty at its Jurong Island terminal, with completion due in the second half of 2028, and that the terminal has been certified to handle bio-LNG.
Jetty three will accommodate LNG carriers with capacities of 5,800 to 80,000 cubic metres and is SLNG's first jetty dedicated to small- and mid-scale vessels.
Once completed, it will support about two million tons per annum (MTPA) of LNG bunker reload demand and handle break-bulk and other small-scale LNG operations.
With existing infrastructure, SLNG could support up to three MTPA of bunker reload, depending on market demand.
The terminal has received ISCC EU certification, which covers storage, regasification and send-out, bunkering and trucking services.
SLNG said it is among the first terminals in the region to hold the certification, which allows bio-LNG handled there to be traced and accounted for under the ISCC EU framework.
SLNG said about 1,700 LNG dual-fuelled vessels are scheduled to be in operation globally by 2029.
Singapore was the world's top LNG bunkering port in 2025.
SLNG owns and operates Singapore's first LNG terminal and is developing a second.
