Shenzhen maintains eight-year reign as fourth busiest port

The Port of Shenzhen, one of China's busiest, has broken throughput records, seeing 22.51 million TEU pass through in 2010, up 23.34 percent on 2009, and 3.5 percent on the previous record set in 2008.

Containers account for 75 percent of the port's total throughput.

According to China Knowledge Press, for Shenzhen Port, this also marks eight straight years as the world's fourth busiest port.
