As Scotland nears its vote for independence, one of Scotland's key commercial ports, Perth Harbour, is being marketed for sale on behalf of the Perth and Kinross Council.
The councils are seeking investment to transform the harbour into a key logistics hub, claiming the port provides a lower cost alternative to larger coastal ports and is situated on the River Tay – just 26 nautical miles from the North Sea.
Graeme Duncan from property firm Bidwells, the firm in charge of handling the sale, said expressions of interest would be accepted over the next few months.
