Singapore-based port operator PSA International has topped a new worldwide ranking of terminal ownership, compiled by Drewry Maritime Research.
In its latest Global Container Terminal Operators annual report, Drewry has introduced an additional ranking of terminal operators, on an equity TEU basis. The ranking include all companies with equity TEU of more than one million TEU in 2010, regardless of whether they operate internationally or not. The total list encompasses 65 firms and organisations ranging from the established international operators to state-owned port authorities, financial investors and large local players.
