Singapore's Jurong Port has announced that its container throughput for the month of June has fallen 23.68 percent year-on-year.
In June 2009, the port handled 58,000TEU, compared with 76,000TEU in June 2008.
Jurong Port is the second biggest port in Singapore. It operates a bulk terminal, a conventional terminal, a container terminal and a small craft terminal. Its Penjuru Terminal is dedicated to lighters and its cement terminal is one of the world's largest common-user facilities.
