US terminal operator Enstructure has completed its acquisition of the marine services division of Canadian counterpart Logistec.
Logistec said the acquisition will create one of North America’s largest and most diversified marine terminal and logistics networks.
The combined company will operate 106 terminals across 30 US states and Canadian provinces and employs approximately 6,000 employees, "providing customers with greater access to critical trade corridors, enhanced service offerings, and a more resilient and interconnected supply chain," Logistec said in a statement.
The transaction was first announced on June 15, 2026.
The combined network now spans more than 3,000 waterfront acres (1,200 hectares), including approximately 12.5 million square feet (1.2 million square metres) of industrial warehousing and handles approximately 70 million tons of cargo annually.
Across the network, Enstructure will provide marine terminal, stevedoring, cargo-handling, warehousing, trucking and multimodal logistics services for bulk, breakbulk, container, automotive/Ro-Ro and project cargos.
Enstructure will maintain Logistec’s head office in Montréal and continue to invest in and grow its Canadian operations.
Blue Wolf Capital Partners, which was the majority owner of Logistec prior to the transaction, will remain an investor in the combined business.
