Pacific Basin to acquire seven vessels

Shipping firm Pacific Basin has approved the acquisition of seven new building Handymax and Handysize vessels.

The order includes two 55,000DWT Handymax vessels from Sumitomo for a total consideration of US$53 million, two 37,400DWT Handysize vessels to be built by Mitsui for a total of US$45.84 million and three 37,500DWT newbuilding handysize vessels from Giant Line worth approximately US$69.75 million.
