Taiwanese shipbuilder CSBC may have to find a new chairman if the Minister of Economic Affairs, Yi Chi-Min accepts the tendered resignation of its chairman, Cheng Wen-Lon.
Mr Cheng tendered his resignation last Friday (August 14) but the minister has not yet accepted his resignation. A spokesperson from CSBC said that the minister has not made a decision and would only be able to do so when he returns from a business trip. Until then, Mr Cheng will retain his position.
Should the minister accept Mr Cheng's resignation, he will be leaving one year before his office term is due to end. Mr Cheng has been the chairman of the CSBC Corporation since November 2007.
