MHI powers ahead in 2010

Published on

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) has posted improved results for 2010, with the value of received orders up 21 percent from 2009 to 2995.4 billion yen (US$36.8 billion), operating income up 54 percent to 101.2 billion yen and net income up 112.6 percent to 30.1 billion yen

While orders are still well down from their peak in 2007 (3,710 billion yen), the result exceeded MHI's initial estimates.

MHI is expecting only a modest increase in operating income in 2011, but expects performance to improve sharply from 2012.
