Oslo, Norway: Höegh LNG and Prosafe Production signed an MoU on January 26 for the long term cooperation within the LNG FPSO segment.
The cooperation will use the FEED work already developed by Höegh LNG as its basis. For each specific project Höegh LNG will be responsible for design, project execution, completion, operation and funding, whilst Prosafe Production will, in cooperation with Höegh LNG, be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the LNG FPSOs, and assisting Höegh LNG during project execution and completion.
Sveinung J Støhle, President and CEO of Höegh LNG said that the agreement was a milestone for the development of the company's first LNG FPSO project.
"The combined forces of Höegh LNG's cryogenic and maritime LNG experience, coupled with Prosafe Production's significant experience from the development, operation and maintenance of its fleet of oil FPSOs…will give our LNG FPSO project an added value," said Mr Støhle.
