Grimaldi subsidiary Finnlines has reported a profit of €25.8 million (US$30.1 million) for the second quarter of 2018, a 6.86 per cent increase over the same period last year.
For the second quarter of 2018, Finnlines had a revenue of €154.2 million, 11.4 per cent higher than the €138.4 million reported for the second quarter of 2017.
Finnlines performance across the whole first half of 2018 showed an even greater boost over the same period last year, reporting a profit of €42.3 million, a 19 per cent increase over the first half of 2017's results.
Finnlines has attributed its increased revenues and profits to favourable trading conditions increasing cargo volumes.
