Greek shipping company the Neptune Group has taken delivery of Nikos Travlos, a 4,200CEU, LNG dual-fuel pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) built by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding in Fuzhou, China.

The vessel is the second of four 4,200CEU ships being built for Neptune under a fleet renewal programme.

Nikos Travlos has an LOA of 177.8 metres, a beam of 33.4 metres, a draught of 8.65 metres, a deadweight of 13,393, and a gross tonnage of 55,492. The vessel is classed by DNV.

Her dual-fuel propulsion can run on LNG or conventional fuels, and she is also fitted with a 500kWh battery and solar panels.

Finnish naval architecture firm Deltamarin was responsible for the concept, basic, and detail design.

The PCTC has a service speed of 18 knots and 12 vehicle decks.

The vessel is named after the group's founder, who is also the father of current Neptune Group President Melina Travlou.

Series lead ship Neptune Pireas was delivered in April. Deltamarin said sister vessels Neptune Afthonia and Neptune Melpomeni are scheduled for delivery in 2027.
