Netherlands’ Tabmarine secures barge order from local company

Netherlands-based Tabmarine has received an order for a custom-made harbour transshipment barge for local operator Maja Stuwadoors.

The vessel will be used as a header/spill barge to help minimise the spill of cargo into the water. It will be equipped with a rubber fender system, two coupling winches, and one emergency drop-anchor with quick release hook.

The barge will be designed according to Dutch Inland Waterway rules.

Delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.
