Japan Marine United (JMU) has won an order for the construction of four Supramax bulkers for two Greece-based shipowners.
Three of the 60,000DWT vessels will be built for Carras Hellas, with the remaining vessel going to Adelfia Shipping Enterprises. All four vessels will measure nearly 200 metres in length overall with 32.25-metre beams. JMU will construct the vessels at its Isogo shipyard.
The Carras Hellas vessels will be constructed under survey to ClassNK and will be delivered from 2016-2017. The Adelfia vessel, meanwhile, will be classed by Lloyd's Register and flagged in the Marshall Islands.
