Guangzhou Shipyard has begun designing two new 10,000-tonne bulk carriers for eventual use in China's domestic shipping lanes.
The design of the two ships will be that of a diesel-driven, single engine, single-blade, double-hull bulk carrier optimised for domestic offshore navigation.
The design will adhere to strict standards in the areas of speed and fuel efficiency as put forth by the owner to keep operating costs as low as possible.
