Why, then, is the print version persisted with? It would be much better presented on the web at lower cost in both trees and treasure. It would also be updated daily. It is certain that a four decade reputation would ensure ready buyers for an online version. It is equally certain that it could be profitably offered at a significantly lower price that way.
That major gripe aside, it is still a magnificent work of research and checking, a very difficult job! All encompassing, accurate and up-to-date, it has all the attributes of a fine directory.
