CMA CGM to introduce liner service connecting Far East with South America

Published on

French liner company CMA CGM will introduce a new service specifically designed to streamline shipments from the Far East to the east coast of South America via the Port of Santos in Brazil.

The rotation of the SEAS 3 service will be Shanghai – Shekou – Vung Tau – Singapore – Santos – Singapore – Shanghai. The service includes an express direct service to Santos Brasil Tecon Terminal, which will be covered by calls from Central and South China.

There will also be a Vung Tau direct call, allowing direct connections via Singapore for Southeast Asia origins.

The direct, fixed-day weekly service will integrate a buffer of more than 20 per cent with a fleet of seven ships operated by CMA CGM and four ships operated by Maersk.

The SEAS 3 service's inaugural departure from Shanghai is scheduled for April 8, 2025. The initial sailing will be served by CMA CGM Nansha.
