Shipping line Hyproc, a subsidiary of Algeria's state-owned energy company Sonatrach, has placed an order for two LNG carriers plus an option for an additional vessel with a Japanese-Korean partnership.
The partnership, made up of Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and Japanese general trading company Itochu, will cooperate on the construction and delivery of the two dual-fuel LNG carriers, each with a capacity of 170,000m3.
Delivery of the two vessels is due from late-2016 to early-2017.
