Two ships collide south east of Gibraltar coast

The UK Government’s Marine Accident Investigation Branch has started an investigation into a collision between the UK registered container ship ANL Wyong and the Italian registered LPG tanker King Arthur, south east of Gibraltar on Saturday.

ANL Wyong is a 260-metre-long vessel owned by CMA CGM and built by Dalian Shipbuilding.

Owned by Mediterranea Di Navigazione, King Arthur is 104 metres long and was built in 2011 by Bach Dang Shipyard in Vietnam.

Both vessels suffered damage but no injuries or pollution were reported.
