Proman Stena Bulk’s first methanol-fueled 49,900DWT tanker hits the water

Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) in China has floated out a new 49,900DWT product tanker ordered by the Proman Stena Bulk joint venture between Stena Bulk and Proman Shipping.

Upon completion in 2022, Stena ProPatria will measure 182 by 32 metres and will be powered by dual-fuel engines that can also operate on methanol.

The ship is the first in a series of six that GSI will deliver to the same customer.
