NYK takes delivery of third methanol-fueled chemical tanker

Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) has taken delivery of a new chemical tanker from South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard.

Grouse Sun will be operated by NYK Bulkship (Asia), a subsidiary of the NYK Group. The ship is fitted with a dual-fuel engine that can run on either methanol or heavy fuel oil.

The Singaporean-flagged Grouse Sun has an LOA of approximately 186 metres, a beam of 32.2 metres, and a gross tonnage of 30,873.
