JMU hands over VLCC to Astral Shipping Navigation

Japan Marine United (JMU) has delivered a new very large crude carrier to Panama-registered Astral Shipping Navigation.

Named Daisen, the BV-classed newbuild has an LOA of 339.5 metres, a beam of 60 metres, a draught of 21 metres, and a deadweight of 311,681 tonnes.

Power is provided by one MAN B&W 7G80ME-C9.5 engine.
