JMS unveils self-propelled tank barge

JMS Naval Architects recently unveiled a design for a new self-propelled double-hull tank barge ordered by an unnamed customer.

The ABS-classed vessel will have a length of 16 metres, a beam of 5.4 metres, two 223kW outboard engines, and a total cargo tank capacity of 37,000 litres.

JMS will be providing consultation support to the vessel owner during development of the shipyard solicitation, technical review of shipyard bids, and providing owner’s representation services during the vessel construction, testing, trials, delivery, and acceptance.
