Titan LNG to add bunkering barge to fleet

MEPS WEEK

Amsterdam-based Titan LNG has confirmed that development is underway on a new seagoing vessel slated to join the company’s fleet of LNG bunkering barges.

The vessel, which will be named Titan Krios, will mainly serve customers in the Port of Zeebrugge and other ports in the English Channel.

The barge will be designed to transport and supply both LNG and bio-LNG, which Titan said will be produced from biological waste streams and can be stored and supplied using existing infrastructure, blended with LNG, and dropped into existing engine technology.

Titan Krios will have a total cargo capacity of 4,200 cubic metres, advanced cargo conditioning equipment, and two bow thrusters to aid in manoeuvring. Design work on the barge will be provided by HB Hunte Engineering of Germany.
