SCF takes delivery of second LNG carrier in series
Russia’s SCF Group took delivery of a new LNG carrier from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries on Monday, September 14.
Named SCF Barents, the 174,000-cubic-metre vessel embarked on its maiden voyage on the day following its delivery to serve a long-term time charter with a subsidiary of Shell.
SCF Barents is the second vessel in a series of three Atlanticmax LNG carriers ordered by SCF Group in 2018. The first vessel of the series, SCF La Perouse, was delivered in February 2020.
