Qatar’s Nakilat takes delivery of LNG carrier

Qatari shipowner Nakilat has taken delivery of a newbuild LNG carrier from Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME).

Named Global Star, the vessel is the second of a planned four newbuildings ordered by Nakilat from DSME.

Global Star will be operated by Global Shipping, a joint venture formed by Nakilat and Greece's Maran Ventures.
