NYK takes delivery of 174,000cbm LNG carrier

Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) recently took delivery of a new LNG carrier from Samsung Heavy Industries.

LNG Enterprise measures 293 by 45.8 metres and has a total cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic metres. The ship’s WinGD dual-fuel main engine is designed to operate on either diesel or residual boil-off gas.

The newbuild is owned by France LNG Shipping, a joint venture formed by NYK and Geogas LNG of France. It will sail under the French flag and will operate on long-term charter with TotalEnergies Gas and Power.
