NYK Line has held a naming ceremony for a new LNG carrier being built by Kawasaki Heavy Industries and to be owned jointly with power generation provider JERA.
The 81,400DWT vessel, which has been named Shinshu Maru, has an LOA of 299 metres and a width of 48 metres.
It is scheduled for delivery in February 2019 and will be used to transport LNG from the Freeport LNG Project in Texas over a 20-year period.
