NYK, Geogas JV adds LNG carrier to fleet
Samsung Heavy Industries delivered a new LNG carrier to France LNG Shipping, a ship-owning company jointly owned by Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) and France’s Geogas LNG, on Wednesday, October 20.
LNG Endeavour has an LOA of 293 metres, a beam of 45.8 metres, and a total cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic metres. Power is provided by a WinGD X-DF dual-fuel engine that can operate on either diesel or boil-off LNG from the cargo tanks.
The vessel will operate under a long-term charter contract with TotalEnergies Gas and Power.
