MOL takes delivery of LNG carrier Marvel Heron
Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has taken delivery of Marvel Heron, a new LNG carrier, from Mitsubishi Shipbuilding.
The vessel is the second of three new LNG carriers that will sail under charter contracts signed with Mitsui and Co in September 2014 and January 2015. The vessels will mainly transport LNG from the Mitsui and Co-backed Cameron LNG project in the US state of Louisiana.
Marvel Heron has an LOA of 298 metres, a beam of 49 metres, and a deadweight of 97,000 tonnes.
