MOL delivers LNG carrier for SINOPEC LNG project

Mitsui OSK Lines has accepted the delivery of LNG carrier CESI Wenzhou at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding.

CESI Wenzhou was ordered by a joint venture of China COSCO Shipping Corporation (CCSC) and China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (SINOPEC), and is the fifth vessel to serve SINOPEC’s LNG transport project.

She will sail under a long-term charter contract to transport LNG that SINOPEC will buy from the Australia Pacific LNG Project.

The 174,100-cubic-metre LNG carrier measures 290.0 metres by 45.6 metres by 11.7 metres.

The diesel-electric vessel has an operating speed of 19.5 knots.
