Greek shipowner Capital Gas Ship Management Corporation took delivery of a new LNG carrier from South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) on Friday, August 13.

The Maltese-flagged Attalos has a total cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic metres and is powered by dual-fuel engines. Its equipment includes a hull air lubrication system to help reduce fuel consumption over the same distances.

The vessel is the fourth in a series of nine to be delivered to Capital Gas between 2020 and 2023. It has been chartered to BP Shipping for a period up to 13 years.
