Great Eastern Shipping acquires VLGC

The Great Eastern Shipping Company has signed a contract to buy a secondhand very large gas carrier of 81,605 cubic-metre capacity.

The 2006-built vessel is expected to join the company’s fleet in in the second quarter of 2019.

Great Eastern Shipping’s fleet stands at 48 vessels, comprising 34 tankers and 14 dry bulk carriers with an average age of 11.03 years.
