First LNG ship-to-ship bunkering in France completed at Port of Marseille Fos

Shell and Carnival Corporation recently completed the first ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operation to be carried out in France.

During the overnight operation, Coral Methane, a bunkering vessel supplied by Netherlands-based logistics specialist Anthony Veder, transferred LNG to the Costa Cruises ship Costa Smeralda.

The bunkering was conducted at the Port of Marseille Fos, which also provided pilotage, towing, and mooring support for the two vessels involved.
