Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding to supply LNG bunkering barge for US East Coast

Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding has been awarded a contract by NorthStar Midstream to construct a 5,400-cubic-metre LNG bunkering barge with options for two more.

The barge will form part of an articulated tug and barge (ATB) unit that will provide LNG bunkering services for NorthStar’s customers along the US East Coast.

The ABS-classed vessel will have an LOA of 340 feet (103.6 metres), a beam of 66 feet (20 metres), and four 1,350-cubic-metre CBM IMO Type C cargo tanks.
