China Shipbuilding Group to supply LNG carrier trio to local consortium
China Shipbuilding Group, through subsidiary Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding, has won an order for three LNG carriers in a series from a consortium formed by China National Petroleum International, Shanghai COSCO Shipping LNG Investment, and COSCO Shipping Petroleum Transportation.
The vessels will each have an LOA of 295 metres, a beam of 45 metres, dual-fuel propulsion that will deliver a speed of 19.5 knots, and capacity for 174,000 cubic metres of LNG.
Shanghai COSCO Shipping LNG Investment will operate all three LNG carriers on behalf of the consortium.
