China Gas’ newest VLGC completes sea trials

China State Shipbuilding Corporation’s (CSSC) Jiangnan Shipyard has completed sea trials of ChinaGas Legend, a new very large gas carrier (VLGC) ordred by China Gas Holdings.

The 84,000-cubic-metre LPG tanker is the first in a series to be built for China Gas. It has a length of 230 metres, a beam of 36.6 metres, and a design draught of 11.4 metres.

Following delivery, the vessel will commence a 10-year time charter with China Gas subsidiary Zhongran Energy.
