BW LPG completes sea trials of third retrofitted gas carrier

BW LPG has completed conducting sea trials of the very large gas carrier (VLGC) BW Orion following a recent retrofit programme that replaced the ship’s conventionally powered engine with a dual-fuel propulsion system.

BW Orion is the third BW LPG ship to undergo a dual-fuel retrofit, which enables its main engine to operate on either LPG or traditional fuel.

The dual-fuel propulsion was supplied by MAN Energy Solutions.
