Avenir LNG has taken delivery of Avenir Achievement, the second 20,000-cubic-metre, dual-purpose, LNG supply and bunkering vessel delivered to the company by China’s Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore and Engineering.

Avenir Achievement is the sixth vessel to be delivered to the Avenir fleet. It will be equipped with boil-off gas (BOG) reliquefication and simultaneous operations (SIMOPs) capabilities.

From delivery the vessel will initially be employed on a six-month time charter party (TCP) with New Fortress Energy, before commencing a three-year TCP with Shell NA LNG in the first quarter of 2023. The TCP with Shell has the option to be extended up to five years.
